Challenge
The client had acquired an existing marketplace running on xCart, with data already migrated by other providers. She needed a complete new WordPress site able to reproduce the full business logic of a real multi-vendor marketplace: vendor collaborations, automatic payouts, user roles, and conditional discounts.
Our approach
The site was built completely from scratch with a custom design, migrating and validating 17,000+ products, customers, media files and vendors. Over 6 custom plugins were developed: programmable discounts, automatic gifts, advanced per-vendor reporting, role-based access to free products, automatic payout and commission calculations, and support ticket systems. A collaboration system lets multiple vendors share a single product with automatic commission handling.
